Ability to know with color code for example if a message has been opened but unanswered. Forgetting to reply immediately is a thing. No idea that 2 weeks ago I checked a message but left the recipient on "read" without replying

Chris Brisson: I think you could solve it two ways: 1) a separate "pending" inbox that would have all convos that are "pending" a reply (this would not take into account any internal messages until an actual outbound SMS is sent) or 2) leaving the unread blue dot on a new message until its responded to versus it just being read. Currently we are having to manually hit "unread" every time someone reads a message to keep track of it. Its very easy for a random person on the team to read a message by accident and then we lose track of that pending message. Hopefully that makes sense?

Chris Brisson: More like "awaiting attention". We have multiple users who are on the inbox and when they open their app it automatically opens the top message. It gets marked as unread and they move on to the real conversation they were looking for. The unread message gets ignored by the person who really needed to see it because when they logged on...it wasn't unread and didn't grab anyone's attention. Does that make sense. conversations are getting lost in the shuffle because they got inadvertently marked unread. Everyone has been told how to mark it unread, but it doesn't always happen.

Have same problem. The problem is that "Open" inbox gets cluttered and hard to tell which conversations have been responded to or not.
This is an example of a solution from Heymarket. Even better than just color coding.
This plus a separate “Pending Reply” inbox would be super helpful.
